CHOWCHILLA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Chowchilla Union High School District (District) will receive sealed bids on
Bid No. RBS24-00038 , for the Site Improvement of Two Portable Classrooms and Setting at
Continuation School in accordance with the drawings and/or specifications prepared by Alan Mok
Engineering.

A mandatory Pre-bid conference has been scheduled for September 7,2023, at 2:00 P.M. Those
attending the pre-bid conference will assemble at the Chowchilla Continuation School.

Prospective bidders shall be required to have a valid B license. A deposit of one hundred and fifty
dollars ($150.00) is required for each set of drawings and specifications. This deposit will be refunded to
each bidder who returns the plans, specifications, and other documents in good condition.

Bids must be received prior to 10:00 A.M. on September 15, 2023, in the districts office after which time
they will be opened and read aloud. Envelopes containing BIDS must be sealed, prominently marked with
bid number, bid title, respective due date and time, name of bidder and submitted to the district’s office,
805 Humboldt Avenue, Chowchilla, CA 93610. Bid must be received no later than the time and date
designated for each. Bid received later than the designated time and specified date will be returned to the
bidder unopened. Facsimile (FAX) copies of the bid will not be accepted. Bids shall be accompanied by a
certified check, cashier’s check, or a bidder’s bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total
bids and must be made payable to the Chowchilla Union High School District.

When an award is made to the successful bidder, it shall submit a certification as may be required by
Public Contract Code section 3006(b).

In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 7106, each bidder shall be required to complete the
Noncollusion Declaration form which is included in and part of the bid documents.

In accordance with the provisions of sections 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code, the Director of the
Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rates of
wages and apprenticeship training requirements. These rates and requirements are on file with the
Madera County Office of Education, Fresno, California and are incorporated herein by reference.

The district reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or bids or any combination thereof
and to waive any informality in the bidding process.
